It's all relative

We went to two places that bear reporting on. First Disneyland. A two year old and a Chinese wife both of whom had never been--that's an interesting day. My two year old hated all the original Snow White, Pinnochio rides but couldn't get enough of the Merry-go-round and Dumbo. Jess loved the "turkey leg" (ham leg) and couldn't believe that Disneyland was 50 years old.
I love the fact that there was no one there--again "no one" is relative, but we didn't wait in line for more than 10 minutes ever. Jess was pretty bugged that we had to wait that long, though. She thought it should have been designed better.
Second, this T-day reminds me of last year. Jess wanted to go shopping on the day after T-day and I, knowing of the horrors of "black Friday," wanted to avoid it at all costs. But of course, the wife prevailed and we went--we went to Wal Mart, of all places. The worst of the worst for crowds. And you know what? It was worse than I imagined it could possible be. But Jess put it all into perspective. "We shop in China everyday with more people than this." I quite complaining.
